How do I switch between the Old and New Calendar?
Tap the calendar badge in the top-right of the Today screen (or change it in Settings) to switch between the Julian (Old Calendar) and Revised Julian (New Calendar).
Why don't I see who's celebrating a name day?
The name-day feature needs permission to read your Contacts. Enable it in iOS Settings › Privacy & Security › Contacts › Orthodox Calendar. Your contacts stay on your device and are never uploaded.
A friend is saved as "Mom" or "Sister" — how do I add their name day?
Go to Settings › Assign Name Days Manually (or tap "Assign their name day" on the Today screen), pick the contact, and enter the name their name day is celebrated under (for example, "Helen"). They'll then appear on that saint's day.
How do I send a "Χρόνια Πολλά" greeting?
On the Today screen, tap the green WhatsApp icon or the share icon next to a person who is celebrating, and a ready-made greeting will open for you to send.
Is my data private?
Yes. The app collects no data and has no tracking or ads. See our Privacy Policy.
A day shows "No saints found." Why?
We are continually expanding the calendar of saints. If you notice a missing day, please email us so we can add it.
